Agecroft Hall is located on 23 acres in Richmond, Virginia. The mansion was brought to Virginia from England during the 1600s and rebuilt as a private residence. After the owner passed away, however, he stipulated that the house become a museum. In addition to the gorgeous mansion, the estate includes beautiful gardens designed by the architect who reconstructed the home. Agecroft Hall & Gardens is not open on Mondays, holidays, or during the evening. It's best to visit during late spring or early summer when the weather is warm and the gardens are in full bloom. However, keep in mind that the gardens are not quite as well kept during these times.

In the 20th century, it fell into disrepair, but the Williams family bought it at auction. They dismantled the home and transported the pieces to the United States.
