Virginia Museum of History & Culture
The Virginia Museum of History and Culture is a major research, teaching, and repository of Virginia's past. It is located at 428 N Arthur Ashe Blvd, Richmond, VA 23220. The museum will undergo a major renovation starting in September 2020. The renovation is expected to be finished by spring 2022. The museum is free to visit on weekends and holidays. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and offers free parking. There are also educational activities for children.

Many artifacts are on display, including the famous liquor chest given by the Marquis de Lafayette to William Cabell Jr. as a thank you for his service during the Revolutionary War.
